everyone knows that any successful training session or event needs to be well planned from the course topic to hand-outs, the participants, the guest list to the agenda to the selection of the keynote speaker. and lastly, but most importantly — how the room will be set-up. so with your assistance on this topic, help jeff to help you insure a smooth and even program that will meet the expectations of all concerned.
while jeff certainly can be flexible, his presentation will be a much bigger success if the room set-up can meet a few requirements. and please don’t hesitate to call if after you review the requests below, you have any questions, concerns or challenges.
equipment:
wireless lavaliere (clothes mount) microphone (depending one the room size, jeff may not need this).
based on the particular presentation requested—full size visual screen and projector with ability to connect to a lap top computer. battery operated laser pointer. And a support person to assist with connections, lighting and sound control—at least on a part-time basis.
staging:
training session—
classrooms style tables and chairs facing the visual screen (for workshops and group functions, round, square or rectangle tables are best).
keynote—
if possible set the room up theatre style in a v-shape with a center aisle and side aisles. position the first row of seating approximately 6 to 8 feet from the front/stage or screen area.
optional stage—again depending on the particular program, this will greatly add to the effect of jeff’s program. please have steps off to each side. sizing and height to be relative with room size.
equipment:
training session—
one bar stool, no back or arms
a table to hold materials and hand-outs
white board, dry markers and erasers, flip chart with a full pad of paper containing self adhesive sheets to be affixed to open and permissible wall areas for display (painters tape as an alternative...it won’t take the paint off the wall)
keynote—
one bar stool, no back or arms.
a small draped table for water and miscellaneous items.
a small clock.
full size visual screen/projector (depending on content of presentation)
room environment:
training session—
lighting—full and bright for workshops adjustable for screen/projector use
keynote—
lighting—please insure that the front/stage area is well lit for maximum guest attention. house lighting may be left on but not to distract from the stage area.
note: jeff will utilize the entire stage area in addition to walking out into the audience via the aisles. please have the support person able to maneuver the lighting as needed.
temperature:
training session and keynote—
a cool room permits the audience to be alert — and a warm room tends to relax the audience, making them drowsy. please maintain a room temperature of 71 to 73 degrees fahrenheit.
recording of presentation:
training session and keynote—
